Paolo Santos Live & Intimate Australian Tour March 2008
Music lovers lend us your ears. March madness is coming with the highly anticipated arrival of Mr. Acoustic of the Philippines, Paolo Santos. The accomplished singer-songwriter will weave his music in three shows in Sydney. Manila sound is ready to hit town.
Paolo will be performing live at the following venues: Burwood RSL March 14, Basement Blacktown March 15 and Pinoy Sentral Granville March 19. Local artists Veronica Martinez, Mia G and Vee Faamoe will be opening for his shows.
According to Titik Pilipino, 2003 was Paolo Santos' groundbreaking year. That was the time when the De La Salle business graduate became known as Mr. Acoustic, the singer-songwriter who forever changed the music landscape of the country. Paolo Santos was the most sought-after performer in every hip bar and music joint in the metro. Not bad for a yuppie with a guitar who didn't have any formal musical training. The Manila Bulletin regards Paolo as arguably the best thing that ever happened to Manilas bar scene.
Paolo’s first visit to Australia in January 2006 produced a spell binding collaboration with the Philippines’ own Santana, rock legend and guitar wizard Wally Gonzalez of Juan dela Cruz. In his second tour of duty, Paolo is expected to bring out an array of ballads and songs from yesteryears.
This will be Crossover Productions’ first of many concerts planned for 2008. The new year is lined up with concerts featuring international artists from various countries, including American r&b soul singer Keith Martin (Bad Boys), New Zealand pop r&b vocalist and Lion King star Vince Harder (Popstars), and rising Sydney-based r&b funk band Soul Junction.
